rss has arrieved

posted by Karsten

The rss-feed is finally getting through the Uni proxy, and into the RedGloo database. It has been quite a struggle due to elgg-source code bugs and a too eager / efficient Uni proxy…

One thing we have to look at is the functionality surrounding the rss-feeds – I'm not quite sure whether I like / understand it, but that's up for discussion…

Hey that is neat – so you are now importing frm the BBC and re-posting.

So anyone with an RSS can re-post let me try.

Can I only re-post to my own blog?

I was trying to re-post from elgg.net to the elgg developer community but I don't think I can.

You are right. You can only post to your own blog. That's why I started out saying that I didn''t like/understand the functionality. It is similar to the template problem we had earlier. Maybe a solution similar to that would apply…

I can't get RSS on the University computers – they need a higher version of MX somthing-or-other in order to view feeds. Just so you know.
