In ~2006  I made a bespoke prototype competency mapping, which showed some of my competencies acquired through my BSc education at University of Reading. I used that both in EU projects to illustrate the concept graphically and within my PhD thesis.

I’m keeping it “alive” on the old server HERE so that it can still be viewed for this purpose. It cannot run from within WordPress.

Based on this I created an ontology (Semantic Web / OWL) supported competency management suite based on an API, which can be reused to create other competency applications. BitMedia in Austria has made a web based solution, and a UoR PhD student Xin He has made an agent based solution.
