http://blogs.zdnet.com/social/?p=55 explains that the DOPA (Deleting Online Predetors Act) which was rushed through the house of representatives has not become legislation, because it was never approved by the senate, and now as the democrats are in charge of both houses has to be re-negotiated. It is very unlikely that they will ban web2.0 features in any new acts.
So US schools can use web2.0 technology without breaking any stupid rules, so there is hope for eLearning 2.0 afterall…
